- without coral reefs a variety of fish would face extinction -overfishing, coastal development, and pollution (Increased carbon dioxide amounts in air) that lead to climate change have all resulted in coral bleaching(only skeletons of coral remain and remain lifeless)
If changes are not made to the destruction of coral reefs located in the intertidal zones, they may become extinct by the year 2050
